A seasoned banker with over 36 years of experience with a leading PSB in India. He has been in leadership positions and held important assignments in India and abroad. Prior to joining SIFL, he has been the Managing Director & CEO of SBI Cards & Payment Services Ltd. and Managing Director & CEO of PNB Housing Finance Ltd. Both are listed companies. He holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and is a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. He is also a certified Behaviour Science Coach. His leadership journey has been enabled by various leadership and senior management programs including those at Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and Asian Development Bank, Malaysia.

With over 30 years of leadership in insurance, he served at LIC of India, including LIC UK, gaining international exposure and establishing Bancassurance and other distribution channels. At SBI Life, he was part of team for the Company’s IPO journey as President & Executive Committee Member. He led Digital Transformation & CRM implementation as COO. He now consults with Deloitte and global online platforms while serving as a visiting faculty at leading insurance institutions.

A veteran with over 38 years of global operational banking experience at Bank of Baroda, he has played a pivotal role in launching and heading new initiatives in the Retail Loan and SME Loan verticals. He has held senior leadership positions, leading key regions and zones across India and the world, driving significant business growth. He has previously served as the Managing Director of Bank of Baroda (Tanzania) and superannuated as the Chief General Manager of the bank.

Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Law Graduate with extensive cross functional experience of over 19 years in compliance and litigation management. Demonstrated skills in managing complex litigation, secretarial matters, drafting, negotiating and administration of contracts and risk management.
