Sameer Sawhney - Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sameer Sawhney started his banking career with ANZ Grindlay's bank in India and is a Chartered Accountant by profession. Mr. Sawhney was Regional CEO and Managing Director South East Asia and India, ANZ, responsible for driving the business, customer and country strategy across the bank’s key markets of Singapore, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia. Prior to ANZ, Mr. Sawhney worked for Standard Chartered Bank for 12 years in various leadership roles within the Wholesale Banking (Institutional) division including Relationship Management, Transaction Banking and Global Markets in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Mr. Sawhney has over two decades of experience in the banking industry, and has held senior leadership roles in global banks across Corporate & Investment Banking (C&IB), Transaction Banking, Global Markets and Private Banking businesses. Having worked in several countries across Asia, Australia, Middle East and Europe & America, Mr. Sawhney has a deep understanding of both Emerging and Developed markets.
Mr. Sawhney is recognised for his strong leadership and commercial acumen with an ability to identify drivers of value and build scalabe, sustainable and profitable businesses.
Madhusudan Dutta - Head- Corporate Strategy & Planning, Human Capital
Madhusudan Dutta, Alumni of IISWBM and a Law Graduate, carries 34 years of rich experience in the area of Human Resources Development.
His journey started with the global pharma & healthcare giant – Glaxo. After a decade’s stint, he moved to the FMCG giant Dabur, Delhi. He worked in key cross-functional projects from Organization Development perspective.
Thereafter, he joined Srei, worked in multiple locations and diverse roles, completing an eventful decade. As the Group Head - HR, he contributed as a key member in the leadership team, during the formative years of Quippo entities and Viom Networks - the largest independent tower company of the country.During 2011- 12, he stepped into Corporate Strategy & Planning (Human Capital) function to closely work with the top leaders of diverse businesses on strategic aspects. Madhu has been entrusted with the additional role of Secretary of the CSR Committee.Madhu has been inducted into the Board-of-Directors of Sahaj-e-village Limited and I-log Port.
He is a member of the prestigious ASSOCHAM National Council on HRD and the Human Resources Committee of the Bengal Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Chandrasekhar Mukherjee - Group Chief People Officer for Srei & Kanoria Foundation.
Mr. Chandrasekhar Mukherjee has a PG Diploma in Human Resources from Institute of Engineering & Rural Technology followed by 29 years of work experience. He has previously worked in Green-field and Brown-field projects and assignments, including working in different work environments like MNC, Indian Companies (both professionally managed like NSE & promoter managed like BCCL) and Government of India. Adding to his wide range of experience, he has also worked in different sectors such as Technology, FMCG, Media, BFSI, Chemical, Manufacturing & Public Sector and international assignments in Malaysia & Nepal.
He has been Associate Vice President, HR, and branch head, Mumbai at Bennett Coleman & Company, Times of India Group. He has also worked with Cabot India, Colgate-Palmolive India and Usha India in the past.
Prior to joining Srei, Mukherjee was the Chief People Officer at the National Stock Exchange of India ("NSE").At Srei, he shall be responsible for handling the entire people function for the organisation and its group companies including all sub-entities.
Murli Manohar Khemka - Executive President - Corporate Strategy and Planning
In addition to planning long-range corporate activities and incubating new initiatives, Murli leads various M&A activities and equity investments at Srei. In recent past, he has been a lead member in the investment of DPSC Limited, as well as in the amalgamation of Quippo with Srei. He also sits on the Board of Srei Mutual Fund Asset Management Private Limited.
Murli has over 15 years of experience in investment, strategy and planning across entire life cycle of business, and extensive domain knowledge in infrastructure and manufacturing arenas and fund mobilization. He has graduated in Science as a rank holder from the University of Calcutta. He also holds a Masters degree in Management Studies in Finance from Mumbai University, Mumbai.
Prior to Srei, he was associated with Parasrampuria Industries Limited and as an entrepreneur with Wideways Consultancy Private Limited.
Rajdeep Khullar - Head - Legal (Litigation)
Rajdeep has over 30 years of experience in corporate legal affairs, having completed his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from the University of Calcutta. He has also successfully completed courses in Arbitration Law and Practice, jointly conducted by Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. Additionally, he completed an advanced negotiation course from Harvard Law School.
Prior to joining Srei, he has worked with Patton Tanks Group and MKJ Group.
Rajesh Jain - Head – Human Resources
With his 21 years of experience in businesses and functions across diverse sectors such as Energy, Power and Document technology and Services, Rajesh as Head of Corporate HR, at Srei, is enabling the organization in preparing itself to meet future business goals vis-a-vis organizational capability.
An MBA (HR) from ICFAI and B.E. (Hons.) in Electronics and Telecommunication from Government Engineering College, Ujjain, he has rich corporate experience in HR functions that include Compensation and Benefits, PMS, Workforce Planning, HR Information system, People Policies, Global Mobility and Recruitment. He is also an experienced examiner of Malcolm Baldridge Business Excellence Model, a Six Sigma Trainer and a certified trainer of Lominger Competency Model.
Prior to joining Srei, he has worked with organizations like Suzlon Energy, Eaton and Xerox, India. At Suzlon Energy he was the General Manager - Corporate HR and DGM, Strategy and Planning, spearheading various key global and strategic projects on HR, finance & supply chain. He headed the HR and Quality function of Eaton Corporation's Electrical Division in India, New Delhi. In his role as Head, Regional Service Operations at Xerox, India, he was responsible for service Sales, net margins, customer /employee and dealer satisfaction for Chandigarh region.
Sandeep Lakhotia - Company Secretary & Group Head
Sandeep is presently leading the Corporate Secretarial Team at Srei, in charge of the corporate compliance and governance function, with his 13 plus years of experience.
He is a Xaverian and is the fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
Sanjeev Sanchiti - Chief Strategy Officer
Sanjeev is a Commerce Graduate from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata, and a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant with over 18 years of experience in Accounts, Finance, MIS, Budgeting, Commercial, Treasury, Taxation and Legal matters.
Before joining Srei, he was associated with the Dubai Port World (erstwhile P&O Ports), Chennai operations.
Shashi Bhushan Tiwari - Chief Operating Officer - Project Finance
Shashi manages the Foreign Currency exposure of Srei, external commercial borrowings, liaising with international institutions, banks, and regulatory authorities both in India and abroad.
In addition to his role at Srei, he is also an associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He is a Bachelor of Science and LLB, and holds a Diploma in Business Management.
Prior to joining Srei, he was associated with PNB and IDBI Banks.
Amitava Sinha - Group Head - Corporate Communications & Brand Management
Amitava Sinha is an accomplished advertising and marketing communications professional with 30 years experience in the field. His last assignment was as Chief Operating Officer of Rediffusion YR , one of India's top advertising agencies.
An alumnus of St Xavier's Collegiate School and Presidency College, Kolkata, Amitava began his career in Marketing with FMCG major Reckitt & Coleman in the mid-1980s. Thereafter he had a seven year stint in JWT (then HTA) and then went on to head the Kolkata operations of McCann Erickson and Bates for three years each. He joined Rediffusion in 2003 and played various senior national roles there before taking over as COO in 2011.
He has worked extensively on several iconic brands and corporate image building for the likes of ITC, Tata Group, LG, Coca Cola and Airtel among others in the course of his career. He also had the privilege of leading the marketing efforts for the Wills World Cup Cricket 1996.
Amitava is actively involved with various industry bodies and is part of the Marketing Sub-Committee of the CII, Marketing & Brands Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry and a former Governing Body Member of the Advertising Club Calcutta.
