In fact, Srei today, holds a leading position in the construction equipment
financing industry in India. The divisions primary activity is the leasing and
hire purchase of infrastructure, construction equipment and machineries to
various construction companies and small and medium scale enterprises engaged
in civil and mechanical construction. Construction equipment includes
excavators, compactors, dozers, cranes, heavy dumpers, compressors, surface
miners, motor graders, backhoe loaders, tool carriers, road building equipment,
mechanical and sensor pavers etc.
Asset Insurance Services
This business is a natural corollary to our
asset management business. Keeping in mind the high stakes put on the fairly
expensive and sophisticated equipment, it was quite natural for us to mitigate
the risk of both our business and our partners. Hence, we ventured Asset
Insurance business to convert the risk into a business opportunity. The result
is adding offering yet another vital link to the unique business model covering
all the aspects of the equipment services.

Equipment Rental, Deposit and Maintenance services
Converting lacunae into opportunity has been the
way of life at Srei. Realising the absence of an equipment pool as one of the
major impediments to infrastructure growth, we endorsed the concept of the
equipment pool and subsequently sponsored the formation of Indias first
equipment bank under the brand name of Quippo. Today, through Quippo
Infrastructure Equipment Limited, our associate and a major player in
Infrastructure Equipment Rental Industry, we are able expand our operations to
equipment rental and equipment maintenance services.

Asset Valuation and Disposal Services
Over the years, Srei realized that disposal of
used assets was an equally daunting task as asset acquisition. Once again in a
first of its kind venture, we entered into a partnership with GoI Industry
Henry Butcher International Auctioneers through our sponsored company, Quippo.
The association with the international company culminated in the formation of a
50:50 joint venture called Henry Butcher International Valuers and Auctioneers
Pvt. Limited, which primarily deals in asset auctioning and valuation services.
